I-Gard Artificial Neutrals:

At times the Neutral point is not available, or the paralleling arrangement of several transformers or generators makes it simpler and more economical to ground the distribution bus. An “Artificial Neutral Assembly” including the grounding transformer and neutral grounding resistor have proven to be the ideal solution in such cases. Available transformer designs include Zigzag, Wye (Y)-Delta or Wye (Y)-Open delta, Our dry type are available in a vacuum impregnated or resin cast coil format in voltages of up to 35 kV.

Neutral Cubicles for Generators:

Individual generators are customarily grounded through a single phase step-down transformer with a current limiting resistor on the low voltage side of the grounding transformer. Our design include a single pole disconnect to facilitate disconnecting the neutral of the generator to proceed to routine insulation testing.

Cubicles that include the 3 phase junction that include the protection current and voltage transformers are also available.

Our sales and engineering team would be pleased to assist you in choosing and specifying the right product for your electrical design.
